In this video I share how to make Candied Yams, its one of my families favorite side dishes for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Growing up I remember my mom making Candied Yams but she used Marshmallows and for years, its how I made them.
About 5 years ago, I was searching for another recipe and came across one from “Devas Can Cook” and was blown away. It was an immediate hit with our family and we have never used Marshmallows again.

The ingredients are as follow:
3-4 Large Yams
2 CUPS White Sugar
1 Stick Unsalted Butter
1 CUP Heavy Cream
1 TBSP Cinnamon
1 tsp Cloves
1 tsp Nutmeg
2 TBSP Pure Maple Syrup
1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
1/2 CUP Chopped Pecans
